Toyota Yaris The One Sedan That's Just Perfect
Toyota has launched the Yaris with a starting price of Rs 8.75 lakh ex-showroom India. Toyota's first C-segment in India will be available in four variants, namely J, G, V and VX and each variant will be available in a CVT guise as well. The difference between the manual and its equivalent CVT variants is about Rs 1.2 lakh and the top of the line VX CVT variant is priced at Rs 14.07 lakh ex-showroom India and is the only variant to feature paddle shifters.The Toyota Yaris is the Japanese car maker’s first-ever offering in the Indian C-sedan segment which is currently dominated by the Honda City, Maruti Suzuki Ciaz and the Hyundai Verna. And when compared to its competition, the Yaris packs a little extra to take them on. However, it does lose out on some features too. Let’s take a look at them, shall we?For starters, Toyota has equipped the Yaris with a tonne of safety features as standard across the range. All four variants get seven air bags, ABS with EBD, brake assist, central locking and ISOFIX child seat mounts as standard.
